Glen Hill produces and directs this animated adaptation of the children's book by L. Frank Baum detailing the life and legend of Santa Claus. The story tells how a human baby was found in the magical forest of Burzee by Ak (voice of Hal Holbrook), a local woodsman, and cared for by Necile (Dixie Carter), a wood nymph. As he grows up, young Nicholas (Robby Benson) is introduced to human society and the world's problems including war and poverty which makes him determined to make a difference and brighten the lives of those in need. |
