While the chickens on evil Mrs. Tweedys farm dream of a better life, at clever hen named Ginger is hatching plans to fly the croop for good. The only problem is, chickens can`t fly or can they? Every escape attempt goes fowl until Rocky a smooth talking All American rooster, crash lands into the coop. It is hardly poultry in motion when Rocky attempts to teach Ginger and her fine feathered friends to fly...but, with teamwork determination and a little bit o`cluck the fearless flock plots one last daring attempt in a spectacular bid for freedom. Trapped behind barbed wire, fearing for their very lives, Ginger, Bunty, Babs and Fowler are chickens with a mission. Ginger and her fellow flock are determined to make a break for freedom but every escape goes 'fowl' when they are caught by the evil Mrs Tweedy and her oafish husband who want to turn them into chicken pies. When an all-American rooster named Rocky lands in the farm, Ginger sees her chance - these chickens won't cross the road; they'll fly the coop. Together they prove that chickens are anything but, as they engage in a daring and spectacular escape.
